South Dakota lifts regulations for truckers transporting diesel fuel, propane gas
November 3, 2008

Argus Leader Staff Reports

South Dakota is temporarily lifting some federal regulations for the transportation of diesel fuel and propane gas.

Under federal regulations, truckers transporting diesel fuel and propane gas are constrained by the number of hours they can drive.

In an effort to get sufficient supplies of both fuels to South Dakota, Gov. Mike Rounds signed an executive order temporarily lifting hour constraints for the transportation of diesel fuel and propane gas.

The federal regulation exemption remains in effect until midnight Nov. 22.
