Environmental Stewardship

The facilities associated with the Hyperion Energy Center will be designed to ensure optimal production efficiency with minimal impact on the environment. This project will incorporate many of the most advanced systems, technologies, and production processes available today, including Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC), water quality preservation processes, and innovative lighting and noise controls.

Regulatory Compliance

This project will be operated in a manner that meets or exceeds applicable environmental laws and regulations, as well as Hyperion's own internal principles.  It is our policy to respect and fully comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, be they state or federal.

Contractor Management

Contractors are an integral and essential part of the energy business.  Nevertheless, it is important that they meet the same high standards that Hyperion sets for itself.  For that reason, safety and environmental performance will be critical components of the contractor selection and evaluation process.
